In this lesson we learn how to play open and closed voicings. Once you understand it, it is really easy and sounds great.
An open voicing is Left Hand 1 & 7 and Right 3 & 5 (or 13).
A closed voicing is Left Hand 1 & 3 and Right hand 7 and 9 (which is the same as 2).
You can see how nicely the individual parts move throughout this 2-5-1 chord progression.
